As you visit our site, you will see that we are a vibrant organization offering many opportunities for people to live out their commitment to build community resilience. There are activities for both medial and non-medical volunteers to participate in support of their community. The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) was founded after President Bush's 2002 State of the Union Address, in which he asked all Americans to volunteer in support of their country. MRC is a partner program of the Citizen Corps, a national network of volunteers dedicated to ensuring hometown security. There are currently 877 community-based MRC units with over 203,199 volunteers.
