One of the most life saving and cost saving public health interventions ever to emerge is immunization! Many adults do not know that they are supposed to continue to get immunizations. They think immunizations are for kids. There are millions of adults in this country that need immunizations for tetanus, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, measles, mumps, rubella, chicken pox, pneumonia, influenza and shingles. Getting immunized is a lifelong, life-protecting job. Some people are unaware of where to get adult immunizations or find the cost too high. The Medical Reserve Corps of Cape Cod is working with the Cape Cod Health Agents Coalition to provide these immunizations free of charge for a limited time period. The dates and places will be announced in the local papers, through the local towns and on this website.
